マッキントッシュ・コンピュータ
MacBookProを購入した。今年もあと残すところ１ヶ月半。車も買ったし、大きな買い物をたくさんした年であった。４年半前にインドに来たときに持ってきた東芝がモンスーンでストライキを起こしたので引退していただいて、インドで買ったコンパックの最強コンピュータでこれまでがんばってきた。しかしこの数ヶ月の間にYouTubeすらまともに再生できないぐらいスピードダウンしてしまった。
５年目のディワリ
待ちに待ったシャールク・カーンのディワリ映画「RA・ONE」を観て私の今年のディワリももう締めである。去年はまともな大型ディワリ映画が公開されなかったので、仕方なく家でシャールクの「Om
Shanti Om」のDVDを観てすごしたけれど、今年は劇場だ。そう、これじゃなくちゃいけない。ピュア・エンターテインメント、「いよっ、成田屋ぁ～っ！」である。ディワリ飾りと電飾できらきらしい街もオフィスもご近所さんの窓も毎年同じ。私も倣って玄関のドアにランタン（ディア）を飾って、髪を短く切って新年の静かなお祝いをした。ディワリショッピングで買った新しいネットブックでこのブログを書いている。わるくない。これで５年目。

一人暮らしのオレンジジュース
一人で暮らしていて難しいのは、野菜やパンを買う量と洗濯のタイミングだ。私はだいたい1週間に1回、マーケットに行って適当に野菜とパンを買いためておくのだが、どうしても買いすぎた分を腐らせてしまう。オクラを500グラムと、トマトを500グラム、かぼちゃを4分の1と、うりを1本と、たまねぎ、じゃがいも、にんじん、ほうれんそう。それにパンを1斤。日曜日に買い物をして、しばらくは張り切って料理をするものの、週中になると仕事で疲れてだんだんめんどうくさくなって外食をしたりしてしまい、土曜日に賞味期限の切れたパンやしなびた野菜をゴミ箱にまとめて捨てるやるせない生活である。
